Volunteer with Mass Farmers Markets
Join us in supporting local food and farmers! Mass Farmers Markets (MFM) is seeking volunteers to help at our five markets:
Central | Copley | Davis | Fish & Farm | Kendall
We rely on volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Whether you're setting up tents, helping customers, or closing out the day — your time makes a difference.
Market Volunteer Roles
Set-Up Crew (2 volunteers)
Help us launch the market! Tasks include unloading storage, setting up tents, assisting vendors, and prepping SNAP tokens.
Market Support (1 volunteer)
Keep the energy up! Help with customer service, social media content, handing out flyers, and supporting day-of activities.
Take-Down Crew (2 volunteers)
Wrap up the day! Assist with packing up, closing out SNAP, and storing equipment.
🗣️ Language Support Needed
We’re especially looking for volunteers fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, and Spanish to help communicate with shoppers at all five markets.
Non-Market Volunteer Roles
Big E Volunteers (fall 2025):
Mass Farmers Market sells local Massachusetts’ cranberries at the Big E in Springfield. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need as much help as possible. Come work a shift with us and get a free pass for the day. It’s so much fun!
Fundraising (ongoing):
Help us raise funds so we can continue our essential work. We are seeking folks who have experience or an interest in gaining experience in fundraising to assist with our fundraising appeals throughout the year.
