A Special Message from Our Executive Director...

What a Remarkable Year it has Been!

a note from our Executive Director, Edith Murnane:

As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, we see more and more people return to a semblance of their previous life. Our markets continue to see increased foot traffic; many of our vendors report increased sales, and our market managers report increased access to SNAP, SNAP-Match and HIP Benefits.

And this is where we need your help.

Every year we host fundraisers, giveaways, online auctions, and send out an annual appeal - all in an effort to provide exceptional service to our vendors, to our customers, to our members and to the communities we serve, all at an affordable and reasonable price.

Providing access to local, state, and federal nutrition incentive programs requires time and resources, it requires human capital, and it requires money.

And so, as we wrap up our 2022 Market Season and look to next year, we know that we will need your continued support.

Your gifts and contributions provide MFM with the resources to support, enhance, and develop our marketplaces. We do this work in an effort to create vibrant and robust spaces for our vendors and our customers, and to enhance the physical and economic health of the communities we serve.

Providing extended access to fresh local food through our food access programs costs roughly $10,000-$12,000 per market day per season. This includes at market processing, informational support and payment processing to our farmers for their hard work.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please support the work of Mass Farmers Markets. Help us continue to do our essential work. Please donate.
