Native Plant Sale at Kendall Square Farmers Market

Native Plant Sale
Kendall Square Farmers Market
Thursday, September 26
12 to 6 pm
in partnership with Grow Native Massachusetts

Join Mass Farmers Markets for the second annual Native Plant Sale in collaboration with Grow Native Massachusetts at the Kendall Square Farmers Market on Thursday, September 26, from 12 to 6 pm. Discover the importance of planting native species and their essential role in supporting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that are vital to our ecosystems. Native plants help create habitats that enhance biodiversity and sustain the wildlife that relies on them, including birds and beneficial insects. Even small changes—like planting native species in a window box or garden—can make a significant impact.

Fall is an ideal time to plant, and Massachusetts-based native plant nurseries will be on-site, offering a wide range of perennials, shrubs, and trees that are well-adapted to our local climate. These plants provide critical support to native pollinators and help restore ecological balance in our gardens and green spaces. Bring your gardening questions, shop for plants that nurture our ecosystems, and help protect our local biodiversity. Participating nurseries will accept cash, Venmo, and most credit cards.

This pop-up market will be held during the Cambridge Science Festival, making it a perfect time to combine your love for science, sustainability, and gardening!
