Submitting Coupons for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program

When MFM processes coupons, they are all machine-counted and scanned. To make this go more smoothly, which will help ensure timely reimbursement to you, PLEASE:

DO...

  • Keep the vouchers flat

  • Keep the vouchers dry

  • Ensure all vouchers face the same direction (all facing front).

  • Align so that the numbers printed at the bottom of each voucher all face the same direction (all top or all bottom).

  • Organize vouchers into bundles of 100. If you have more than 100 vouchers to submit, you may have multiple bundles of 100 vouchers and then one smaller one as the remainder. For example, if you have 263 vouchers, there should be 3 bundles (100+100+63), each with its own wrapper.

  • Note that 100 vouchers in a bundle/wrapper means 100 vouchers per wrapper totaling $250, not 40 vouchers totaling $100.

  • PLEASE ALWAYS use the printed wrappers provided. Need more wrappers? Email coupons@massfarmersmarkets.org.

  • Write the market PIN on every wrapper. If you don't know your market's PIN, look it up here: https://www.mass.gov/farmers-market-nutrition-program

  • Stamp or write your certification number in the “Farmer Certification #” box on each
    coupon.

DON'T...

  • DON'T roll or fold vouchers in any way. It greatly delays processing.

  • DON'T put more than 100 vouchers in a wrapper.

  • DON'T submit loose vouchers. They will get lost.  Even if you only have one voucher, please fill out a wrapper and wrap it up.

  • DON'T use tape on the vouchers. It must be removed for processing and damage can occur during removal.

  • DON'T use rubber bands or anything other than the wrappers provided to secure the vouchers together.

  • DON'T accept coupons with a number already written or stamped in the “Farmer Certification #” box.

Mass Farmers Markets is not responsible for payment of damaged vouchers if these instructions are not followed.
